It's official -- the
shortest day of the year has come and gone. It's all about increasing
daylight from here on into June! Wishing you all a wonderful warm

Dream Come True

My painting, "Raven Frees the Light"
has just been juried into the New Hampshire Art Association's annual
show. This exhibit takes place each year at the Currier Museum of
Art in Manchester, NH.One of my life goals has been to see one of
my paintings hanging in this world-class museum, and on January
16, I'll get to see that happen! Very cool.
Vermont Studio
Center Residency
Some
other good news I just received is that I have been awarded a partial
fellowship to the Vermont Studio Center in Johnson, VT! This means
that I'll get to spend the month of April in beautiful Vermont with
nothing to do but paint paint paint! Another wish come true -- I
can't wait to get going!
Hippo
Press Interview
I was
recently interviewed by Dana Unger of the Hippo
Press in their November 6, 2008 issue about why I think people
and animals go together so well. They gave me a lot of ink so I
must have sounded pretty intelligent -- that doesn't happen very
often (not without lots of editing anyway!) So thanks Hippo!
